Founder terms

You become a Studio founder when your first paid Pro or Max annual plan uses the FOUNDER code. Founder spots are limited to the first 100 people.

Your founder number is given when that first payment goes through, in the order payments arrive. Choosing Become a founder on our site applies the code for you, and the code also works if you type it at checkout.

When all 100 spots are taken, the code stops working and the site says founder spots are full.

These are lifetime rights. They don't require an active subscription, and they don't expire.

• 30% off your first year, then 20% off Studio for life, on any paid plan, monthly or annual, every time you subscribe. If you cancel and come back later, it still applies. It's applied for you at checkout and at each renewal, with no code to remember.
• Price protection: if our plan prices go up, your 20% comes off the price that applied when you became a founder.
• 15% off all Creator Wear products, for life.
• Free shipping on everything we ship within the US, for life.
• 50% off warranty plans.
• A private founder Discord with JJ and the team, with priority support and first word on what's coming.
• Early access to new features and desktop betas.
• A vote on what we build next.
• A reserved Founders Edition mic, engraved with your confirmed founder number, at 40% off, offered to you before public sale. Nothing is charged until you choose to buy it, and you don't have to.

Founder discounts can't be combined with other promo codes. If more than one could apply, you get the better one.

Creator Wear products, shipping, warranty plans and the Founders Edition mic aren't on sale yet. The founder rights for them apply when those products launch.

The founder discount on products applies to up to 3 of each hardware product and up to 5 of each merch or accessory item per calendar year, for personal and household use. Beyond that you can still buy at the normal price.

Buying with a founder discount to resell is discount abuse (see below).

First come, first numbered. Your number is provisional while the 7-day refund window for your founding payment is open, and confirmed when it closes. A confirmed number never changes.

If a founder is refunded while their number is provisional, their founder status ends and every provisional number after theirs moves down by one, so the order stays the same. That spot opens for the next founder. Confirmed numbers never move.

Your confirmed number is the one engraved on your Founders Edition mic.

Founder status ends only for:

• a refund of your founding payment, or
• serious misconduct: harassment, threats or hate speech toward anyone; fraud or chargebacks; reselling or abusing founder discounts; selling, sharing or transferring a founder account; or a serious breach of our Terms of service.

Cancelling, pausing, downgrading or not renewing a plan never ends founder status.

If founder status ends after your number is confirmed, that number is retired. It's never given to anyone else, and no other number moves.

Lesser issues in the Discord, such as disrespect, spam or breaking the Discord's rules, mean a warning first, then removal from the Discord only. You keep your number and every other founder right.

The Discord rules, in short:

• Be respectful to everyone, including the team.
• No harassment, threats or hate speech. These end founder status, not just Discord access.
• No spam, and no promotion unless the channel is for it.
• Keep the invite to yourself. It's for founders only.
• Don't share other members' personal information or private messages.
• Follow Discord's own rules.

Founder status is tied to the Creator Wear account that made the founding payment. It can't be sold, shared, given away or moved to another account.

If you delete your account, your founder status goes with it, and your number is retired rather than given to someone else.

Nothing about your founder status is public unless you choose it. In Settings you can turn on the founder badge on your share card, and you can appear on the founders wall at /founders under a name you type. Both are off until you turn them on.

If we update these founder terms, the update won't take away a right you already hold.
