Creator Wear Studio

Beta

The full editor lives on your machine.

Edit, score, and export at up to 4K, free and with no watermark. All of it happens locally, offline if you want. Nothing renders in a cloud, and your video never leaves your device.

The editor is in beta. It is where our attention goes right now, it gets better most weeks, and everything in it is free today and stays free after.

Seeing a Windows warning?

Windows may show a “Windows protected your PC” screen the first time you run the installer. Choose More info, then Run anyway.

The installer is code signed. Opening More info shows the publisher: John Manigault Jr. If that name matches, you have the file we published.

SmartScreen shows this for installers it has not yet seen many downloads of. It is a reputation check on how new the release is, not a finding about the file, and it stops appearing as more people install it.

Try it in the browser

Editing only. Export needs the app.

What the app adds over the browser

Export & render

The app renders your video with ffmpeg on your own machine. No cloud queue, no per-minute bill. The browser can edit, but it can't write the file.

Media that persists

Imported video and audio stay linked to your projects across sessions. In the browser they don't survive a reload; in the app, everything stays in place.

System requirements

  • macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later, Apple Silicon. Intel Macs are not supported yet.
  • Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.
  • Runs fine on an ordinary laptop. 8 GB of memory is plenty for editing. A faster machine mainly means quicker exports; you don't need a workstation.

Installing

  • macOS. Open the downloaded .dmg and drag Creator Wear Studio into your Applications folder, then launch it from there.
  • Windows. Run the downloaded installer and follow the prompts; launch it from the Start menu.
